Amanda Sue Preisel and James Arthur Pelletier Jr.

Amanda Sue Preisel and James Arthur Pelletier Jr., were married at a 2 p.m. ceremony Aug. 1, 2009, at St. Joseph the Worker Church. Officiating was the Rev. James Downs.

Parents of the bride are Greg and Susan Preisel of 760 Arlington Ave.

The groom is a son of Brooke Pelletier of 1611 Gretchen Ave., and the late James A. Pelletier Sr.

The bride wore a strapless satin A-line gown with iridescent pearls and beading on the bodice and flowing train.

Her hand held bouquet contained white stargazer lilies, red roses and white stephanotis.

Maid of honor was Amanda Villani of New Castle.

Bridesmaids were Michelle Wilson of New Castle, Leigh Fleischer of New Castle, Cathina Penwell of New Castle, Jennifer Pelletier of Portersville, Domonique Wilson of New Castle and Brittany Grimes of New Castle.

Flower girl was Amelia Pope of New Castle.

Ring bearer was Mason Shaftic of Clarion.

Serving as best man was Sean Currie of New Castle.

Ushers were Joe Wilson of New Castle, Matt Thomas of New Castle, Zach Preisel, bride’s brother, of New Castle; Marco Bulisco, groom’s brother, of New Castle; Paxton Fleeger of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Caden Popovich, groom’s brother, of New Castle.

Ceremony vocalist was Blaise Jenkins.

The organist was Mary Lou Pruchnic.

During the ceremony, a bouquet of flowers was placed on the altar in memory of the couples loved ones that have passed away.

The reception took place at the Cascade Park Dance Pavilion.

After honeymooning in Orlando, Fla., the newlyweds make their home in New Castle.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of New Castle High School.

She graduated from the Lawrence County Career and Technical Center’s licensed practical nursing program.

She is a LPN at Golden Hill Nursing Home.

Her husband is a 2002 graduate of Ne-Ca-Hi. He works as a paver.
