Renee Marie Mele and Kenneth Steven Croisetiere

PITTSBURGH — Renee Marie Mele and Kenneth Steven Croisetiere were married at 4 p.m. Oct. 15, 2011, at Sacread Heart Catholic Church in Pittsburgh by the Rev. William Bovard.

Parents of the bride are David and Rita Mele of Croton Avenue.

Parents of the groom are Leo Croisetiere of King George, Va., and the late Debra Croisetiere.

The bride wore a Maggie Sottero diamond white satin gown accented with crystal and rhinestone appliqués with a ruched bodice and corset back ending in a chapel train. A crystal feather and rhinestone hair accessory complemented the fingertip veil studded with mini crystals.

Her freestyle bouquet designed by David Jones contained white roses, Dendrobium orchids, birds of paradise and fuchsia Gerber daisies with pearl and crystal accents. She also carried a lace handkerchief, which belonged to her maternal grandmother.

The couple lit a unity candle and presented flowers to the blessed Virgin Mary. A memory bouquet to honor deceased family members was on the altar.

Maid of honor was Ria Mele, the bride’s sister, of New Castle.

Bridesmaids were Kelly Coldren of Monroeville and Pam Smith of Charlottesville, Va.

Junior bridesmaid was Janet McDermott, the groom’s niece, of Cherry Hills Village, Colo.

Flower girls were Juliet and Eleanor McDermott, the groom’s nieces, of Cherry HIlls Village.

Serving as best man was Devin Nolton of Alexandria, Va.

Groomsmen were Leo Croisetiere III, the groom’s brother, of Richmond, Va., and John Smith of Charlottesville.

Vocalist was Phoebe Wooding, accompanied by Richard Moser. David Anderson of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra played trumpet.

The reception was at the PPG Aquarium at the Pittsburgh Zoo.

A honeymoon will be taken in the spring.

The bride is a second-grade teacher at the Prince William County Public School System in Manassas, Va.

A Kennedy Catholic High School graduate, she received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Westminster College and a master of arts degree in teaching form the University of Pittsburgh.

Her husband is a graduate of West Potomac High School in Alexandria. He is a sales representative with Theros Equipment in Fredericksburg, Va.

The newlyweds make their home in Centreville, Va.
