Alyssa Brianne Elias and Joshua Scott Minner were married at a 4 p.m. ceremony on May 30, 2009, at the Independent Methodist Church. Officiating was the Rev. Frederick Gilbert.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Threats of New Castle.
The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Minner of New Castle.
The bride’s ivory strapless gown was adorned with crystal and pearl beading and featured a lace-up back with chapel train. A tiara held her ivory fingertip-length veil.
She carried a bouquet of purple roses and ivory stephanotis. All the flowers were made by Sandra Simon.
Kara McConahy and Felicia Terpilowski were maids of honor.
Bridesmaids were Vanessa Threats, sister of the bride; Bianca Elias, Krista Krasinski and Ciarra Karnes.
Flower girl was Nevaeh Elias and ring bearer was Robert Terpilowski Jr.
Miniature bride was Anissa Elias Minner, the couple’s daughter.
Best man duties were shared by Brian Dottle and Dwayne Presnar.
Groomsmen were George Threats, brother of the bride; Tim McElroy and Joe Baughman.
Ceremony vocalist was Krista Krasinski.
During the exchange of rings, the couple presented a ring to their daughter.
A memorial candle was lighted for the bride’s grandfathers and the groom’s great-grandfather.
Single roses were presented to the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom at the conclusion of the ceremony.
A reception followed at Shad Hanna’s Banquet Center.
The bride is a graduate of Shenango High School and attended Butler County Community College.
The groom is also a Shenango alumnus and attended Erie Business Center. He is employed in the construction industry.
The newlyweds make their home in New Castle.
