Susan Bridget Joyce and Jared Michael Rosati

NEW CASTLE — Susan Bridget Joyce and Jared Michael Rosati were married at 2 p.m. Oct. 19, 2013, at St. Cyril of Alexandria Church. The Rev. Stan Gregorek officiated.

Parents of the groom are Vincent and Laurell Rosati of 81 Fields Drive.

Parents of the bride are Patrick and Susan Joyce of Pittsburgh.

The bride wore a long A-line ivory sequined gown with a cathedral train designed by Jordan Fashions purchased at the Brides Against Breast Cancer fundraiser.

Her hand-held bouquet contained white miniature calla lilies, peach marlese roses, ivory roses and peach Asiatic lilies tied with a peach and ivory satin ribbon.

Maid of honor was Brianne Hodanich, the bride’s cousin, of Pittsburgh.

Bridesmaids were Kailey Joyce, the bride’s sister, of Cleveland, Molly Joyce, the bride’s sister, of Pittsburgh, Gina Hodanich, the bride’s cousin, of Pittsburgh, Samantha Bianchi, the bride’s cousin, of Pittsburgh, Sarah Bianchi, the bride’s cousin, of Pittsburgh, Kayla Gregorich, the groom’s twin, of Hubbard, Ohio and Amanda Pietrone of Pittsburgh.

Flower girl was Isabella Joyce, the bride’s sister, of Pittsburgh.

Ring bearer was Andrew Hardester, the groom’s cousin, of New Castle.

Serving as best man was Stephen Orr of Boardman.

Groomsmen were Patrick Joyce, the bride’s brother, of Pittsburgh, Sean Joyce, the bride’s brother, of Pittsburgh, Andrew Hodanich, the bride’s cousin, of Pittsburgh, Matthew Priscilla, the groom’s godson, of New Castle, Dorlan Curtis of Nassau, Bahamas, Justin Gregorich, the groom’s brother-in-law, of Hubbard and Manuel Monos of Youngstown.

Vocalist was Alice Murtha who was accompanied by Theresa Hammond.

The reception was held at The Hampton Banquet Hall in Gibsonia.

The couple spent their honeymoon at Cabo San Lucas.

The groom is a graduate of New Castle High School and Youngstown State University.

He is a chemical engineer with Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory.

His wife is a graduate of North Catholic High School and Youngstown State University.

She is a case specialist with Auberle Crisis Intervention.

The newlyweds make their home in Pittsburgh.

Milwaukee catcher Martin Maldonado has been suspended five games for sucker punching Pittsburgh’s Travis Snider during a bench clearing brawl on Sunday. You OK with that suspension?

Yes. Seems fair.
No. Baseball NEVER gets it right in these situations. Should have been at least 20 games for his sucker punch into a pile of players.
Not sure, but I’d love to see baseball be like hockey and allow two guys to fight for a while before breaking it up. Let’s see how tough Maldonado is then.
