NEW CASTLE —
Megan Johngrass and David Martin were married at a 3 p.m. ceremony May 1, 2010, at the Scottish Rite Cathedral. Officiating was the Rev. Dennis Bupp.
Parents of the couple are Karen and Paul Johngrass of Delaware Avenue and Donna and David Martin of Youngstown.
The bride wore a diamond white taffeta, strapless gown from Alfred Angelo’s Sapphire Collection. The dress was adorned with embroidery, metallic accents, sequins, crystal beading and semi-cathedral train.
Her bouquet consisted of lavender roses and white miniature calla lilies with her grandmother’s blue rosary beads entwined in the flowers.
Maid of honor was Ashley Johngrass, sister of the bride, of New Castle.
Matron of honor was Elizabeth Romanio of San Dimas, Calif.
Bridesmaids were Krysanna Slavin of Philadelphia, Chrissy Trautz of Pittsburgh, Courtney Frengel of New Castle and Breanne Martin of Warren, Ohio.
Flower girl was Emma Linnen of Struthers, Ohio.
Ring bearer was Daeone Martin, groom’s son, of Youngstown.
The best man was Dominic Leonelli of Canfield, Ohio.
Ushers were Robert Nagel of Youngstown, Kevin See of Red Hill, Pa., Paul Johngrass, bride’s brother, of New Castle; Michael Geramita, bride’s godson, of New Castle; and Aaron Martin of Warren, Ohio.
Readings were by Lori Geramita and the bride’s godfather, Fred Puchlopek.
Liz McCool was vocalist and The Elegant String Quartet performed.
The reception was at the Scottish Rite Cathedral.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Oahu, Hawaii.
They make their home in Boardman.
The bride is a graduate of New Castle High School and the University of Pittsburgh. She is a caseworker for Trumbull County Children Services.
Her husband is a graduate of Wilson Senior High School and attended Youngstown State University.
He works for J.D. Byrider.
