NEW CASTLE — Elizabeth Nancy Book and Steven Scott Belle were married at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 13, 2013, at The Historic Springdale House and Gardens, West Columbia, S.C. The Rev. Lance Stack officiated.

Parents of the bride are Raymond and Kimberly Book of Camden, Del., and Deborah Book of New Castle.

Parents of the groom are Donald and Linda Belle of Lexington, S.C.

The bride’s aunt, Barbara Picard, of Midlothian, Va., read a passage from First John Chapter 4 and the couple’s Sunday school teachers, Tae and Laura Ho of Columbia, S.C., gave the couple a charge for marriage.

The bride wore an ivory trumpet gown with a semi-cathedral train, crystal beadwork on the waistband and a looped sash trailing down the back.

Her bouquet contained ivory hydrangeas, white mini calla lilies, ivory garden roses and white ranunculus.

Vocalist was Jessica Mowery, who was accompanied by Bridget Hedinger.

Matron of honor was Barbara Anne Lewis, the bride’s sister, of Mars, Pa.

Bridesmaids were Jessica Mowery of Muncie, Ind., Elizabeth Russler of Oconomowoc, Wis., Jody Barbour of Indianapolis and Morgan Smith, the bride’s cousin, of Berkeley Heights, N.J.

Serving as best man was Scott Belle, the groom’s brother, of Columbia.

Groomsmen were Michael Belle, the groom’s brother, of Lexington, Stephen Smith of North Augusta, S.C., James Sharpe of Cayce, S.C. and Scott LaFranca of Sanford, Fla.

The reception was held at The Historic Springdale House and Gardens.

The couple spent their honeymoon in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.

The bride is a graduate of Neshannock High School and Miami University of Ohio.

She is coordinator of tutoring at the University of South Carolina.

Her husband is a graduate of Bluffton High School and the University of South Carolina.

He is a power reliability specialist at South Carolina Electric and Gas.

The newlyweds make their home in Columbia.
