Crystal Lynn Rush and Charles David Bannon were married at a 1:30 p.m. ceremony July 24, 2009, at St. Joseph the Worker Church. Officiating was the Rev. Robert J. Schweitzer.
The bride is a daughter of Audrey Rush of 1516 Huron Ave.
Parents of the groom are Chuck and Rosemary Bannon of 1808 Grove Ave.
The bride wore a white satin, princess-style strapless gown with a sweep train. A pink satin sash adorned the dress.
She carried a dozen long-stem baby pink roses, freestyle. Swarovski crystals accented the bouquet.
Maid of honor was Brandy Rush, bride’s sister, of New Castle.
Matron of honor was Dana Medure of New Castle.
The bridesmaids were Anna Rush, sister of the bride of Las Vegas, and Kristin Vivelo, Lindsay Castrucci, Nicole Panella, Melissa Bannon, sister of the groom, and Rachel Manifrang and Nicole Joseph, all of New Castle, and Megen Erwine of Cranberry Township.
Flower girl was Abbey J. Kennedy, bride’s sister, of New Castle.
Junior groomsman was Anthony Rush of New Castle.
Best man duties were shared by John Lambo and Larry Allison, both of New Castle.
Ushers were Travis Borrelli and Mark Frengel, both of New Castle, Joe Lombardo of Pittsburgh, Brian Thomas of North Huntingdon, Pa., Justin Joseph, Allan John Joseph and Craig Marsh, all of New Castle, and Anthony Medure of Ambridge.
Vocalist was Shafica Kaleel.
Organist was Mary Lou Pruchnic and the trumpeter was Jesse Croach.
The reception took place at The Alpine Room at SNPJ Recreation Center, Enon Valley.
After honeymooning in Riviera Maya, Mexico, the newlyweds make their home in Canfield, Ohio.
The bride is a graduate of New Castle High School and Slippery Rock University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in 2004 and her master’s degree in 2006.
She is an academic adviser in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at Youngstown State University.
Her husband is a graduate of Union High School who received his degree in 2003 from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.
He is a property loss specialist for Liberty Mutual Insurance.
