NEW CASTLE — Jamie Leigh Spithaler and Aaron Lee McCrumb were married during a Pittsburgh Steelers-themed wedding at 3 p.m. Sept. 10, 2011, at the German Club grounds in New Castle. The Rev. Dennis L. Bupp officiated.

Parents of the bride are Judy Uber of New Castle and Barry Spithaler of Wexford.

The groom is a son of Linda McCrumb of New Castle and the late Richard Lee Baskeyfield, who had lived in Coca Beach, Fla.

The bride wore a white dress decorated with a diamond studded Steeler pin. She also had a black and gold flower in her hair and wore yellow shoes.

Her bouquet was a mix of gold sunflowers, lilies and white daisies, with black baby’s breath and black feathers tied with black and white ribbon.

The hall was decorated in Steelers memorabilia and black, gold and white accents.

Attendees wore Steelers apparel and brought Terrible Towels to wave after the couple were announced husband and wife, at which point the Steelers’ theme song, “Renegade” by Styx was played.

When the bridal party was introduced, the DJ played “Here We Go.”

Maid of honor was Ashlei Turner-Lansberry of New Castle.

Bridesmaid was Kyra Hill, daughter of the bride, of New Castle.

Flower girl was Tesia McCrumb, groom’s daughter, of New Castle.

Ring bearer was Kaiden Mackey, bride’s son, of New Castle.

Best man was Robert Bailey of New Castle.

Serving as usher was Scott Shoaff of New Castle.

The reception featured tailgate party food and the DJ played several Steelers theme songs throughout the night.

The newlyweds make their home in New Castle.

A honeymoon trip is on hold as the newlyweds both work and have three children.

Both bride and groom are graduates of the Lawrence County Career and Technical Center.

She is a certified nursing assistant at Edison Manor and he works for Badger’s Landscaping.

The bridegroom is also a Navy veteran, serving from 1995-1999.
