Erin Elizabeth Mentzer and Gordon Lincoln “Lin” Teachey III

Erin Elizabeth Mentzer and Gordon Lincoln “Lin” Teachey III were married during a 6:15 p.m. ceremony on Nov. 17, 2007, in Gatlinburg, Tenn. Officiating was the Rev. Jodie Champoux.
A former New Castle resident, the bride is a daughter of Patricia Mentzer of 4780 Matthews Road, Edinburg and the late Fred Mentzer.
Parents of the groom are Gordon and Peg Teachey of Harrodsburg, Ky.
The bride’s wedding attire consisted of ivory gown with mermaid-silhouette skirt featuring jeweled keyhole and halter neckline. An elbow-length veil completed her look.
Her bouquet consisted of burgundy and white roses.
Matron of honor was Frances Crespi of San Antonio, Texas.
Performing duties of the best “man” was Robin McCoy of Lexington, Ky.
Additionally, two puppets attended the wedding because the bride was part of a puppet ministry when she was younger.
A reception took place at Majestic Peaks Chalet.
The couple make their home at 920 Letcher Ave., Frankfort, Ky.
The bride is a graduate of Mohawk High School and Geneva College. She is hospitality coordinator at Rebecca Ruth Candy.
Her husband graduated from Washington County High School in Springfield, Ky., and also holds a degree from the University of Kentucky. He is a truck driver.
