Sharon Elizabeth Stillwagon and John Kevin Palchak

Sharon Elizabeth Stillwagon and John Kevin Palchak were united in marriage on Sept. 8, 2007 at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Pittsburgh. The Rev. Andrew Shaffer presided over the double ring ceremony.
Bridesmaids included Constance Au, Mohanalakshmi Phongsavan, Monica Sharma and Rachel Shiffrin. The flower girl was Olivia Wright.
Groomsmen included Mark Fabiani, Michael Gold, Stanley Leung and Duane Stewart III.
The ring bearer was James Pfeifer.
Jennifer Russell, vocalist, was accompanied by Christine Burgh, flutist, and John Burgh, pianist.
A special reading was done by Stephen Benard.
The rehearsal dinner, given by the father of the groom, was held at Bucca di Beppo in Station Square by the Pittsburgh waterfront. The reception was held in the Tropical Forest and Special Events Hall at Phipps Conservatory.
The bride, daughter of Nancy W. and the late James R. Stillwagon of Fombell, is a 1997 graduate of Sewickley Academy and a 2002 graduate of the University of Rochester where she received a bachelor of arts degree in English and Spanish. In 2005, she graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a master’s degree in library and information science. The bride is a training and information specialist with ProQuest.
The groom, son of John Herman Palchak and the late Maria G. “Lou” Palchak of New Castle, is a 1991 graduate of Mohawk High School and a 1996 graduate of Penn State University with a bachelor of arts degree in history and international politics. In 2002, he earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law. The groom works as an attorney in Pittsburgh.
The couple honeymooned on the Caribbean island of Curacao. They reside in Shadyside.
