Jeannie Ann McBeth and Ryan Patrick Shay were married at a 2 p.m. ceremony Aug. 29, 2009, at Neshannock Presbyterian Church. Officiating was the Rev. Gary Waguespack.

The bride is a daughter of Sheila Johnson of 144 McConnell’s Mill Road, Portersville, and the late Daniel McBeth.

She was escorted by her brothers, Buddy McBeth and Charlie McBeth.

The groom is a son of Lynda and Gary Shay of 992 Reese Road, Slippery Rock.

Maid of honor was Jennifer McBeth, the bride’s sister.

Best man was Aaron Salzano.

Flower girls were Mackenzie Shay and Emma McBeth, the couple’s nieces.

A reception took place that evening at the Scott Township Fire Hall. Family and guests were treated to a pig roast and much more prepared by friends of the groom. Dancing followed.

The newlyweds are planning a honeymoon cruise for spring 2010.

The bride is a graduate of Laurel High School and Slippery Rock University. She works in insurance sales.

Her husband also is a Laurel High School graduate. He served in the Marine Corps and is a union laborer.

The couple make their home in Slippery Rock.
