Amy Lynn Clingensmith and David Craig Mongiovi were married in a small ceremony with immediate family and close friends on Aug. 8, 2009, in the Harbison Chapel Garden at Grove City College. Officiating the 11 a.m. wedding was the Rev. Mike Watson of Grace Church, Erie.
Parents of the bride are John and Barbara Clingensmith of 78 Links Drive.
The groom is a son of Julie Mongiovi of Lancaster, Pa., and the late Paul Mongiovi.
The bride wore an ivory strapless, beaded and lace trumpet gown with godet inserts at the hem and a charmeuse sash.
She carried a bouquet of deep red gerbera daisies.
Serving as flower girls were Avery Calvert, the bride’s niece, and Kayla Mongiovi, the groom’s daughter.
The reception followed at the Carnegie Alumni Center at Grove City College.
After honeymooning in Rehoboth Beach, Del., the newlyweds make their home in Lititz, Pa.
The bride is a graduate of Shenango High School. She received her bachelor’s degree from Grove City College and her master’s degree from Slippery Rock University. She is owner of Clingensmith Communications.
Her husband graduated from Lancaster Catholic High School, Loyola College, and Millersville College. He also served in the Navy eight years, working in the nuclear field.
He is distribution system operator for Met-Ed, a FirstEnergy Company.
