Breanne Marie Smith and Kenneth Henry Hemler
Breanne Marie Smith and Kenneth Henry Hemler were married at a 1:30 p.m. ceremony on Sept. 13, 2008, at SS. Peter and Paul Parish, Detroit, Mich. Officiating was the Rev. Robert Ruedisueli.
Parents of the bride are Frank and Karen Smith of 135 McCombs Circle.
The groom’s parents are Ken and Lynn Hemler of Warren, Mich.
The ceremony took place on the 39th wedding anniversary of the bride’s parents.
The bride wore a white strapless, sweetheart gown with Swarovski crystals covering the bodice, and A-line bottom with pick up the length of the train.
Her bouquet featured blown open cream Vendella roses coupled with white hydrangea with stock wrapped in taupe ribbon and cream braid overlay.
Maid of honor was Brandi Gilmore of Emmaus, Pa.
Bridesmaids were Jennifer Demko-Smith of Boardman, Nicole Bianchi of Roseville, Mich., Megan Hemler and Melissa Hemler, groom’s sisters, both of Warren, Mich.; Jennifer Smiley of Enon Valley and Kelly Librizzi of New Castle.
Best man was Christopher Hemler, brother of the groom, of Roseville, Mich.
Ushers were Bradley Smith, brother of the bride, of Boardman, Dan Hemler of Warren, Mich., Sean Hendrick of Grosse Pointe, Mich., Dominic Paluzzi of Grosse Pointe, Kevin Degrood of Livonia, Mich., Assaad Nasr of New York City and Christopher Brosky of St. Claire Shores, Mich.
Ceremony vocalist was Marcello Rossi.
Accompanists were Paulette Powell and Michael Powell.
The reception followed at the Andiamo Banquet Center, Warren, Mich.
After honeymooning to Puerto Rico, the newlyweds make their home in New York City.
The bride is a Union Area High School graduate. She received her bachelor of arts degree from the University of Pittsburgh and her Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.
