Jennifer Rebecca Kimmel and John “JB” Craig Berkebile Jr., were married at a 6 p.m. ceremony July 31, 2009, at Shakespeare’s Restaurant, Ellwood City. Officiating was the Rev. Richard York.

The bride is a daughter of Becky and John H. Kimmel Jr. of Wampum.

The groom is a son of Betty Berkebile of New Castle and the late John C. Berkebile Sr.

The bride wore an ivory, spaghetti strap dress with cathedral-length train embellished with pearls and crystal beading. Her veil was made by the groom’s mother.

She carried a hand bouquet of pink and ivory roses accented with baby’s breath, plumosis and lockets containing pictures of the groom’s father and bride’s grandfathers. It was made by her grandmother.

Two altar bouquets were placed by the altar in memory of the groom’s father and the bride and groom’s grandparents.

Matron of honor was Ginger Ponziani of New Castle.

Bridesmaid was Saundra Diana, sister of the groom, of New Castle.

Flower girl was Gianna Ponziani of New Castle.

Ring bearer was Michael Ponziani III, bride’s godson, of New Castle.

Best man was Paul Crossen of Wampum.

Usher was Nick Diana of New Castle.

The reception also followed at Shakespeare’s.

The couple honeymooned to Atlantic City, N.J.

The bride is a graduate of Mohawk High School and Slippery Rock University.
