Barbara Anne Book and Matthew Jordan Lewis were married at a 3:30 p.m. ceremony June 28, 2008, at Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church. Officiating was the Rev. Chris Weichman, pastor.
Parents of the bride are Raymond Book III of Camden, Del., and Deborah Book of 19 E Oakwood Way.
The groom is a son of Christopher Lewis of 2107 Delaware Ave. and Karen Karnes of Edgewater, Md.
The bride wore a Mikado satin gown featuring cross-tucked bodice and a chapel-length train. She wore the garter from her grandmother’s wedding 55 years ago.
Her all-white bouquet contained roses, miniature calla lilies, dendrobium orchids and stephanotis wrapped in satin, and a handkerchief given to her when she was born.
Matron of honor was Elizabeth Book, bride’s sister, of Muncie, Ind.
Bridesmaids were: Eileen Bundy of Charleston, S.C., Katie Movic of New Castle and Amanda Wood of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Best man was James Lewis, brother of the groom, of Louisville, Ky.
Ushers were Scott Bender of New Castle, Brandon Gardner of Harrisburg and Josh Vannatten of New Castle.
Kathy Mansell was organist. Vocalist was Nina Sainato and Chris Masi was trumpeter.
Readers in the ceremony were Barbara Picard of Richmond, Va., and Barbara Walzer of Kennebunkport, Maine.
The reception was at the New Castle Country Club.
Following their honeymoon trip to Cancun, Mexico, the newlyweds make their home at 702 Timberbrook Court, Zelienople.
The bride is a graduate of Neshannock High School and Ohio Wesleyan University. She is a teacher at Montessori Children’s Community in Sewickley.
Her husband is also a Neshannock alumnus who earned his degree from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. He is a database programmer at Federated Investors in Pittsburgh.
