Tessa Gretel Rhyne and Nathanael S. Allen were married at 2 p.m. Feb. 23, 2008, at The Satyricon, a music venue in Portland, Ore. Pastor Leo Scott officiated.
The bride is a daughter of John and Jeannie Clark Henry of Bessemer and Jacob and Jeannie Rhyne of Lincolnton, N.C.
Parents of the groom are Charles and Christine Allen of Beaverton, Ore.
After seating of the parents, the couple (on video) told their story of meeting, becoming best friends when they both lived in San Francisco, and the story of their engagement.
When the bride was given by her father, Jacob Rhyne, the groom sang to her. As a symbol of unity, Nate and Tessa sang his composition, “We Can Work Together.”
The bride’s gown featured bouffant skirt and sleeves in beaded, white brocade accented by a pink crystal chandelier necklace, hot pink boots, blue tiara and a bouquet of willow and clear crystals.
Bride’s matron of honor was Patty Griffith of San Francisco.
Bridesmaids were Laura Swanton of Chicago, Anna Allen, groom’s sister, of Beaverton, Ore., and Crystal Wilson of Portland.
Best man was Nick Krissie of Newberg, Ore.
Groomsmen were Tyler Hentschel of Portland, Jeff Moskowite of Visalia, Calif., and Justin Morgan of San Fransisco.
The reception also took place at The Satyricon. The cake topper adorned the wedding and fiftieth anniversary cakes of the bride’s grandparents, Chester and the late Rhoda Clark of Enon Valley.
The couple honeymooned in Las Vegas.
The newlyweds make their home at 5235 SE Lambert St., No. B5 Portland, Ore.
The bride is a graduate of Mohawk High School and attended Vanderbilt University. She works as a receptionist.
Her husband graduated from Umpqua Valley Christian School and attended Umqua Community College. He is a singer/songwriter.
