Elaine Elizabeth Houk and William Matthew Welker were married at a 1 p.m. ceremony March 8, 2008, aboard a Carnival Freedom cruise ship.
The ceremony was performed in the port of Miami, Fla., by Iris Echavarria. The couple then embarked on a seven-day honeymoon cruise to the Caribbean, including the ports of San Juan, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas and St. Maarten, Virgin Islands.
Parents of the bride are Don and Sally Houk of 348 Presnar Drive.
The groom’s parents are William and Christina Welker of Indiana, Pa.
She is a graduate of Neshannock High School and Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She is a manager for Archon Hospitality.
Her husband graduated from Indiana High School and the Lehigh Valley Technical Institute. He is a highway foreman for Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
The newlyweds make their home at 4672 Warren Road, Indiana, Pa.
They will be feted at a private reception in Indiana County.
