Isabelle Allison Shick and Leonard John Pounds were married at a 3:30 p.m. ceremony Jan. 6, 2008, at First Presbyterian Church of New Castle. Officiating was the Rev. Dr. Raymond Hylton, pastor.
Parents of the bride are Carmen and Amy Shick of 3454 Tuscarora Drive.
The groom is a son of Franklin and Suzzann Pounds of 4 Quarry Road.
The bride wore a tiered gown featuring a cathedral-length, hand-made lace mantilla. The dress was embroidered with crystals, ivory lace and tulle.
Her bridal bouquet, in a Martha Stewart design, consisted of 45 off-white roses with two golden butterflies arranged in a gold holder.
Honor attendant was Meghan L. Thomson of Erie.
Bridesmaids were Annamarie C. Shick, bride’s sister, of New Wilmington, Ashley M. Weir of New Castle, Kelly L. Bonus of Bethel Park and Allison L. Wilde of Philadelphia.
Flower girl was Concetta R. Pounds of New Castle, the groom’s goddaughter.
Ring bearer was Matthew J. Pounds Jr. of New Castle.
Best man was Nathan S. Marlar of Pensacola, Fla.
The ushers were Franklin J. Pounds Jr. and Matthew J. Pounds, brothers of the groom, and Matthew A. Shick, bride’s brother, all of New Castle.
During the ceremony, Mariah Owens read Scripture from the book of Colossians. The unity candle ceremony featured the bride’s favorite music, “Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini by Rachmaninoff.”
The reception was at The Mill Street Grille.
The newlyweds make their home at 1965 S. Ocean Drive, Hallandale Beach, Fla.
The bride is a graduate of Neshannock High School. She earned a bachelor of science of business administration degree in finance/economics from Slippery Rock University and is attending Nova Southeastern University for her master’s degree. She is compliance officer at Kovack Securities Inc.
Her husband graduated from Shenango High School and received a bachelor of science in information technology from Slippery Rock University. He also served in the Navy on the USS Shreveport LPD-12.
He is coordinator of IT operations at Nova Southeastern University.
