Laurel Ann Brubaker and Mark Andrew Sanders were married at a 3:30 p.m. ceremony Dec. 15, 2007, at Washington Union Alliance Church. Pastor Bill Beck officiated.
The bride is a daughter of Philip and Linda Brubaker of 3103 Old Pittsburgh Road.
Parents of the groom are William and Gail Sanders of 10 Coates Ave.
The bride’s ivory, strapless satin gown featured a long sleeve champagne lace jacket ending in a chapel train. A diamond necklace from her grandmother completed her look.
The bridal bouquet was a Martha Stewart design of 50 Latin Lady Roses with clear crystals. Stems were wrapped with ivory satin and crystals.
Maid of honor was Kimberly Barker of New Castle.
Bridesmaids were Emily Sanders of New Castle and Joy Noble of Poland, Ohio.
Flower girl was Geoli Yeager of New Castle.
Best man was Nicholas Pauline of New Castle.
Ushers were William Sanders, groom’s father, and Scott Brubaker, bride’s brother, also of New Castle.
During the ceremony, while the song “Heirloom” was being played, the names of the couples’ deceased grandparents were recited and candles were lighted in their memory.
Vocalist was Brittany Steele accompanied by pianist Josh List.
Violinists Jim and Betty Stephenson also performed.
The reception was at The Villa.
After their honeymoon cruise to Cozumel, the newlyweds make their home at 355 N. Hubbard Road, Lowellville, Ohio.
The bride is a graduate of Union Area High School and Youngstown State University. She teaches fifth grade at Boardman Glenwood Middle School.
Her husband is also a Union alumnus and YSU graduate. He is a quality assurance engineer at Exal Corp. in Youngstown.
