Jayanne Christine Grgurina and Brian Kevin Silvers were married at a 2 p.m. ceremony on Sept. 8, 2007, at St. Joseph the Worker Church.
The Rev. Robert J. Schweitzer was pastor. The couple received a papal blessing for their marriage from Pope Benedict XVI.
Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Gary Grgurina of 40 Links Drive.
The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Silver of Struthers, Ohio.
The bride’s Bellissima Couture, satin strapless gown, featured metallic platinum thread embroidery and Swarovski crystal beading, with baguettes on the neckline and waistline, ending in a royal train.
She carried a bouquet of white miniature calla lilies, White Blizzard wedding roses and white stephanotis with pearl center.
Serving as maid of honor was Amy Clingensmith of New Castle.
Bridesmaid was Becky Grgurina of Fort Mill, S.C.
Flower girl was Kate Coppola of Lowellville, Ohio.
Ring bearer was Ryan Casey of Poland, Ohio.
Best man was Brad Silvers, groom’s brother, of Youngstown and Jason Grgurina, brother of the bride, was usher.
Ceremony vocalist was Debbie Thomas.
Organist was Mary Lou Pruchnic and Jesse Croach was trumpeter.
The reception was at The Villa.
After their Hawaiian honeymoon to the islands of Maui and Hawaii, the newlyweds make their home at 109 Samuel Drive.
The bride is a 1992 graduate of Shenango High School. She received her bachelor of science in pharmacy in 1997 from the Mylan School of Pharmacy, Duquesne University. She is pharmacist at Village Pharmacy, Bessemer.
Her husband graduated from Struthers High School and is a 1990 graduate of Youngstown State University. He is employed by General Extrusions Inc. Youngstown.
