Man charged with endangering
An Edinburg man was charged with endangering children and others. New Castle police this week charged John R. Helmuth, 39, of Stacie Lane with three counts of endangering the welfare of children and five counts of recklessly endangering others.

Woman facing drug charges released
A woman arrested following a raid by New Castle police and the Lawrence County Drug Task Force has been released. Michelle Lee Cox, 27, of 313 Halco Drive, was charged with endangering the welfare of children and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Broken tail light leads to drug arrests
A bad tail light resulted in two men being charged with drug possession. Joseph A. Cangey, 45, of 516 Norwood Ave. and front seat passenger Desmond Cochrane, 35, of East Lucius Avenue, Youngstown, were arrested by Neshannock Township police and arraigned by District Judge Scott McGrath.
