Man faces drug charges after fight

NEW CASTLE — A Sheep Hill area man has been arrested on drug charges following an outdoor disturbance on Harrison Street.

New Castle police were called to the 800 block of Harrison Street around 6:30 p.m. Sunday regarding a fight involving multiple people, three of whom left in a red car. A state trooper stopped the car at the intersection of East Reynolds and Dushane streets, according to police.

The driver, identified as Michael Todd Falba, 39, of 2315 Morris St., allegedly told police he had smoked marijuana earlier, and he handed the officer a plastic bag containing about three grams of suspected marijuana.

Falba is charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was released and will be sent a summons to appear in court.
