NEW CASTLE —
A Pittsburgh area man is wanted for allegedly sexually assaulting a girl in New Castle.
New Castle police filed charges Thursday against William Allen, 26, of North Versailles, Allegheny County, after a 13-year-old girl alleged he had various types of sexual relations with her at her house while her mother was not at home.
New Castle police said they were contacted around 7 p.m. Nov. 9 by Pittsburgh’s Children’s Hospital regarding the incident. Officers said the girl’s mother had taken her there when she learned her daughter allegedly had been sexually assaulted last year while they were living in New Castle.
Allen is the girl’s mother’s ex-boyfriend, the mother told hospital staff. The girl, interviewed by Lawrence Children and Youth Services, told them Allen had assaulted her while her mother was attending a wedding May 7, 2011.
The mother told investigators that Allen had left her house that day and never returned, and she did not hear from him for five months.
Police said they received information from Allegheny County Nov. 30 that Allen had been in jail there and was on probation, and that he is wanted there and is considered to be armed and dangerous.
He was charged Thursday with sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault of a child, indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age and corruption of minors.
A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
