City recovery plan up for vote

NEW CASTLE — New Castle City Council has rescheduled a meeting for 8 a.m. Wednesday to vote on a financial recovery plan.

The meeting had been scheduled for yesterday, but the city solicitor recommended that it be postponed.

Council president MaryAnne Gavrile said some council members, who could not attend yesterday had planned to vote by telephone.

However, solicitor Jason Medure said members cannot vote by phone because the city does not have an ordinance allowing them to do so, according to Gavrile.

A customer near Pittsburgh was shot and killed as he tried to stop a bank robber from fleeing in his getaway car. What would you have done?

I would have tried to stop the crook too, regardless of the consequences. We need more heroes to end this madness.
Let him get away. You saw what happened in this case. However, I would try to get information to help police capture him. That’s THEIR job!
