NEW CASTLE —
Two drivers were flown to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown following an early-morning crash Saturday in Scott Township.
According to state police, Jesse A. Swanson, 20, of Slippery Rock was southbound on Route 19 at 4:10 a.m. and Daniel J. Book, 22, of 1487 Eastbrook Road was northbound when they collided head-on. Book was ejected from his vehicle.
Swanson was listed Saturday morning in guarded condition, while Book was listed in critical condition.
Swanson’s 2001 Toyota Solara and Book’s 1992 Chevrolet S-10 both were totaled, police said.
