Two rob convenience store

NEW CASTLE — Two males robbed a 7-Eleven store at Park and Highland avenues Thursday.

New Castle police said $40 was taken during the holdup, which occurred at 12:46 a.m.

According to police, the two masked males went to the store’s window and one of them pointed a firearm at the clerk and demanded all of the money in the cash register. The clerk gave them the cash and they ran toward Centennial Street.

Police said surveillance tape showed the robbery occurred in less than a minute.
