NEW CASTLE —
A Scott Township man faces indecent assault and other charges after being accused of attacking a woman at his home.
State police filed the charges against Scott John Cartwright, 32, of 149 Game Farm Road as the result of an incident Oct. 29. Police allege he assaulted the woman and forced her to have sex with him.
According to a criminal complaint filed in the office of District Judge David Rishel, police were contacted by the victim and she was interviewed as Jameson Hospital.
Officers observed various injuries to the woman’s face and throat. An examination by hospital staff also revealed cuts, abrasions and other injuries, the complaint said.
In addition to indecent assault, Cartwright also was charged with making terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment.
