NEW CASTLE —
The Pennsylvania Turnpike will conduct traffic stoppages at the Beaver Valley Interchange exit ramp leading to Route 18 south Wednesday.
Hours of the stoppages will be between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. State police will be in charge of stopping traffic, in 15-minute intervals, to allow crews to remove a guide rail and install a temporary barrier along the ramp.
Motorists traveling in the area should be prepared for slow-moving traffic during this time. The stoppages should not affect mainline traffic.
This work is in preparation for a bridge replacement that carries the interchange ramp traffic over Route 18 and is part of the future Beaver River Bridge replacement project.
