Beaver Falls man faces assault charges

NEW CASTLE — A Beaver Falls man has been charged with assaulting an Ellwood City woman.

Ellwood City police charged Timothy Douglas Jackson, 47, of 210 Franklin Ave. with burglary, criminal trespass, theft, simple assault and harassment.

Ellwood City police allege that at 7:20 p.m. Saturday, Jackson forced his way into a home in the 300 block of Tenth Street in Ellwood City. Police said he pushed aside a woman who was trying to lock the door to keep him out. Once inside, police were told, Jackson punched the woman twice in the face and punched a man who lives in the home before grabbing the woman’s purse and running out.

According to police, the victim told officers Jackson had been harassing her and he had gone to the home to talk to her but she told him to leave.

She told police Jackson got out of his car, ran onto the porch and forced his way through the door before she could lock it.

The victims went to the police department to make a report. As the woman was being interviewed, officers said, Jackson called and yelled at her. The second time he called, the officer took the phone and told Jackson to go to the police department to provide a written statement about what had happened.

He told the officer he had been in the apartment, but said he had not taken the victim’s purse or hit her.

Do you talk to yourself when you're alone?

Yes, but I’m basically just thinking out loud.
No, that would be weird.
I don’t know. Next time I’m alone, I’ll ask.
