Woman charged for harassing calls

NEW CASTLE — A woman has been charged for allegedly calling her ex-boyfriend 1,200 times after they broke up.

New Castle police filed one count of harassment against Lisa Jones, who was staying at the Crisis Shelter on West State Street.

A 45-year-old New Castle man reported to police Saturday he recently had broken up with Jones and she repeatedly called him, his landlord and his place of employment. He said he received 1,200 calls from her within the past week, including more than 400 times on Saturday alone.
