NEW CASTLE —
A Crestview Gardens man is facing charges for allegedly videotaping girls in the shower in 2008.
New Castle police Tuesday arrested Frank Leroy Moore Jr., 49, of Apt. 2B, 1146 Pin Oak Drive.
A woman reported to police that on July 30, 2008, someone videotaped her juvenile daughter taking a shower at a neighbor’s house. She said her daughter, then 13, was sleeping over at her friend’s house when the incident occurred.
The girl said she saw the videotape of herself showering, while watching television at her friend’s house on the city’s East Side.
Upon learning that Moore had made the film, police said, they searched his home and seized multiple VCR and 8-millimeter tapes, along with a camcorder.
Police obtained a separate search warrant for the contents of a camera and a computer, which were turned over to state police.
City officers learned there were other juveniles in the films, one of whom was 11 or 12 at the time of the incident and one who was 12 or 13.
One of the girls told officers Moore would take them swimming at a neighbor’s house and would untie her bathing suit top in the pool, according to police.
Moore is charged with six counts of sexual abuse of children for photograph/film depiction on a computer and six counts of sexual abuse of children, possession of child pornography.
He was arraigned by District Judge Melissa A. Amodie and lodged in jail on two bonds totaling $30,000.
