NEW CASTLE —
An auto repair/state inspection station burned to the ground Tuesday morning in Enon Valley.
Firefighters were called to Valley Services Garage on Route 551 and Beaver Dam Road at 5:15 a.m. They remained until about 9:30 a.m.
Ben Hostetler, Enon Valley Volunteer Fire Department chief, said the cause of the blaze is believed to have been a heater.
He said the state fire marshal has been notified and was expected to visit the site Wednesday.
The garage and auto repair shop was owned by Thomas Busser.
Hostetler said he did not have an damage estimate at this time but noted, “It is extensive. It was a total loss and his tow truck, a car and all of his tools were inside the building.”
Enon Valley was assisted by volunteer departments from North Beaver Township, Little Beaver Borough and the Darlington and Big Beaver departments in Beaver County.
