NEW CASTLE —
Police are continuing to investigate an accident that took the life of a New Wilmington teen.
Brandon Beahr, 18, of New Wilmington died after his 2009 Ford Fusion crashed on Route 18 in Shenango Township, Mercer County Sunday.
According to the Southwest Mercer County Regional Police Department, Beahr, traveling south, was alone at 4:55 p.m. when his vehicle went off the east side of the road.
Officers said Beahr’s car sheared off a telephone pole and a tree, then rolled onto its roof and struck a second tree.
The accident occurred just south of Gearhart Road.
Police said Beahr was pronounced dead at the scene.
