Man reported dead still alive

NEW CASTLE — Joseph Lupo, who was shot Sunday night, did not die, according to state police, who initially said he had.

In an update provided about 7:30 p.m. yesterday, police said the hospital has reported Lupo has been upgraded to critical condition.

Lupo and his wife, Caroline Lupo, both 50, were shot in an apparent domestic incident at their 4812 W. Main St., Mahoning Township, home, police reported Monday.

Initial reports provided by the troopers said both had been taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, where Joseph Lupo had died. Police said he had been shot in the head with a .45-caliber handgun and she had been shot in the abdomen and leg.

On Monday, police reported Caroline Lupo was in serious condition following surgery.

Police said the investigation is continuing.

Are you concerned enough about the Heartbleed bug on the Internet to change all of your social media and website passwords?

Yes. It’s always a good idea to change passwords regularly anyway. I just have so many, I’m not sure where to start.
No. From what I’ve read, companies are still trying to figure out how to fix the flaw. The bad guys will just have access to my NEW passwords, too.
Not sure, but I blame Al Gore. He invented the Internet, right? How’s he going to get us out of this mess?
