NEW CASTLE —
Endeka Entertainment, planning a racetrack/casino for Lawrence County is negotiating with Penn National Gaming to operate the complex.
The Pennsylvania Harness Racing Commission today granted Philadelphia-based Endeka another until May 31 — to finalize an agreement with Penn National to serve as the management company.
Endeka must also provide evidence that it has the financial backing to build a multi-million-dollar complex, approved for Mahoning Township, and submit an application to the Pennsylvania Gaming Board Commission to operate a casino on the racetrack premises.
Penn National is the company that has also proposed establishing a racing track and casino in Austintown, Ohio.
More information will be included in tomorrow’s New Castle News.
