Man accused of stealing from business

NEW CASTLE — A North Hill man is accused of stealing tools from his former employer.

Neshannock Township police have charged Steven G. Stunkard, 36, of 601 Norwood Ave., in connection with the theft reported by owners of GEM Inc.

Police said Stunkard tried to pawn the stolen tools at pawn shops in New Castle and Beaver Falls. The company owners told police that Stunkard had been fired from the firm and that tools were missing.

Police said Stunkard also reportedly had given an Allison Park address to the pawn shops.

He is charged with four counts of theft, five counts of receiving stolen property and one count of criminal attempt at theft by false impression.

He was sent a summons to appear in court.

No, that would be weird.
I don’t know. Next time I’m alone, I’ll ask.
