Man wanted in phone store burglary

NEW CASTLE — A Neshannock Village man is wanted in connection with the break-in of a South Side business last week.

Jamar Anthony Comedy, 25, of 401 Neshannock Ave. Apt. 18 faces burglary and other charges in connection with the alleged intrusion and theft of two iPhones, accessories and $120 in cash from the cash register.

New Castle police said the store owner reported the May 24 incident, saying the store closed around 5 p.m. that day and reopened May 27. At that time, an employee noticed the items were missing. The owner told police  Comedy admitted to taking the items and  he had a videotape of the alleged break-in and a text message from Comedy in reference to it.

Comedy faces one count each of burglary, criminal trespass, retail theft, receiving stolen property and theft.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
