LCB cites Edinburg bar

NEW CASTLE — An Edinburg bar has been cited by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.

The Town and Country Lounge at 2552 Ben Franklin Highway in Mahoning Township was cited for violations including serving an unlimited number of draft beers for the set price of $25 and possessing or operating gambling devices or paraphernalia or permitting gambling on the licensed premises.

These violations occurred May 18.

Charges will be taken before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 in fines for minor offenses up to $5,000 for serious offenses.

The judge also may order a license suspension or revocation based on the severity of the charge, and may mandate training for the licensee to educate them on license requirements in Pennsylvania.
