Snow causes hazardous roads in Lawrence County

NEW CASTLE — Persistent snowfall late Monday afternoon was creating treacherous road conditions in Lawrence County.

Emergency personnel were reporting hazardous roads in various parts of the county, even advising crews responding to accidents to travel with caution.

One rollover accident was reported shortly before 4:30 p.m. on West Pittsburg Road in Taylor Township.

As the sun sets and temperatures drop, motorists may continue to face difficult driving if the snow continues.
