Man charged for trying to flee police

NEW CASTLE — A Lower East Side man was arrested for allegedly trying to flee an officer during a traffic stop.

New Castle police charged John Paul Rickel, 23, of 806 Chestnut St. with fleeing and eluding, careless driving, reckless driving and traffic violations.

Officers reported he had failed to stop and sped away from them as they tried to pull him over around 12:30 a.m. May 1 on Oak Street. He then turned abruptly into the driveway of his house, police said, and entered the front yard, making ruts in the grass.

Have you held or will you hold a garage/yard sale this year?

I have and it was a success! It's a great way to get rid of some junk and make a little extra pocket money.
I have, but it didn't go over so well. Better luck next time?
I haven't yet, but I plan to.
I haven't and I don't plan to. It's not for me.
