Man accused of leaving child alone outside

NEW CASTLE — A man is facing charges for allegedly dropping off  a 5-year-old and leaving her alone in her yard.

New Castle  police charged Christopher Frasier, 22,  of 2997 State Route 208, New Wilmington, in connection with the incident, which they say occurred Friday morning  in the 1100 block of Summit Street when no one was home.

According to police reports, a woman went to the city police station and reported that her daughter had been left unattended in front of her house. She said Frasier  dropped the child off between 7 and  8 a.m. Friday after she already left for work. She said she did not expect the child to be dropped off until 3 p.m. that day.

She said Frasier did not try to call her to tell her he dropped off the child and that she had tried to call him to set up a time but he did not call her back.

Another household member told police he arrived home to find the child standing at the front door of the house, alone.

Frasier was charged Monday with recklessly endangering another person and endangering the welfare of children.

Do you talk to yourself when you're alone?

Yes, but I’m basically just thinking out loud.
No, that would be weird.
I don’t know. Next time I’m alone, I’ll ask.
