Bridge work to affect I-376 traffic patterns

NEW CASTLE — Cleaning and inspection of the bridge that carries I-376 over the Shenango River in Neshannock Township  will begin Thursday.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, single-lane restrictions at the bridge will occur in both directions, but not simultaneously. Work to clean and inspect the bridge will be done from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays through April 30.

In addition, partial lane closures will occur on the I-376 westbound off-ramp for Exit 12, which is Youngstown/Sampson Street. Flaggers will control traffic.

Motorists are advised to use caution, slow down and expect changing traffic patterns.
