Federal arrest leads to North Hill drug, gun discovery

NEW CASTLE — A search warrant executed on the city’s North Hill Friday morning reportedly has turned up guns, drugs, money and jewelry.

Lawrence County District Attorney Joshua Lamancusa said the search was initiated after federal marshals went to arrest someone at 212 E. Hillcrest Ave. who was wanted on a warrant. The man tried to run from officers and was arrested, he said.

The district attorney’s drug task force and New Castle police obtained a sealed search warrant and found heroin, cocaine and marijuana in the house, along with the other items, officials said.

Additional charges are pending against the man, police said. More details will be published in Saturday’s edition of the New Castle News.

Do you talk to yourself when you're alone?

Yes, but I’m basically just thinking out loud.
No, that would be weird.
I don’t know. Next time I’m alone, I’ll ask.
