Gas line replacements delay traffic

NEW CASTLE — Motorists in Union Township will face detours and delays through the summer because of gas line replacement.

Union Township Supervisor Pat Angiolelli said Columbia Gas is installing high pressure gas lines to replace aging ones.

Part of Scotland Lane just south of Route 224 is closed now. Over the next month, the Scotland Lane portion of the project will continue and the line replacement will move to the West Washington end of Scotland Lane, then proceed down West Washington to Miller Avenue, Angiolelli said. Motorists should expect closings and delays.

The project will continue through the summer, he said. Future sections slated for line replacement are the lower end of Scotland Lane on the other side of West Washington and Sunny Avenue.

Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal signed “unprecedented” legislation yesterday to expand gun rights in his state. Good idea?

Yes. Expanding the scope of where people can carry guns can help halt violent crimes and make those places safer.
No. Carrying guns into bars and schools is NEVER a good idea. I think it will lead to more violence.
Not sure, but I don’t plan to visit Georgia any time soon.
