Man faces more child sexual assault charges

A West Side man is wanted on new charges for the alleged rape of a juvenile girl on various occasions.

New Castle police have charged Larry Cragle, 35, of 1223 Rebecca St. with one count of rape, two counts each of statutory sexual assault of a person 11 years or older, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse of a person less than 16 years of age, sexual assault and aggravated indecent assault of a person who is less than 16.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

He was arrested a year ago with his wife Michelle, 29, on similar charges for alleged incidents that occurred at their Rebecca Street home. Both are awaiting trial on those charges.

The new charges, filed yesterday, are for alleged rape and sexual assaults reported to have occurred between August 2011 and April 2012. The incidents were brought to the attention of New Castle police during a counseling session with the girl earlier this month at Lawrence County Children and Youth Services.

During a forensic interview, the girl described for police two times when Cragle allegedly raped her, and told them that another time that she was hog-tied on the bed and she passed out.

Sarah Palin is calling for the impeachment of President Obama for his handling of the border crisis, comparing America to a “battered wife.” Do you agree?

Yes. It seems Obama is intentionally allowing illegal immigrants to enter our country, which hampers job opportunities for U.S. citizens. Our new slogan should be, ’Bye, American!
No. Sarah Palin? Really? C’mon! The president is doing the best he can with a difficult situation. Let him finish out his term.
Not sure. I’m not a big fan of the president, but I don’t think Palin’s “battered wife” comment was appropriate.
