One injured in bus, car accident

NEW CASTLE — One person was injured in a crash of a car and small school bus Friday afternoon in Union Township.

The driver of the car, who was unidentified, was transported to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, according to Union Fire Chief Pat Donofrio.

Two children on the bus and the driver were not injured, he said.

The accident happened at the intersection of Route 422 and Mathews Road around 3:35 p.m.

Details of the accident, including the name of the school district, were not available Friday. Union police and fire department responded to the scene.
