NEW CASTLE —
New Castle police returned to the scene of a drug search Thursday but no one was there.
Police and members of the District Attorney’s Drug Task Force raided a Crestview Gardens apartment about 9 a.m. Wednesday morning, confiscating drugs and cash and arresting two women who were staying there.
Police chief Bobby Salem said yesterday that officers returned to the complex Thursday morning but came up empty.
“We had heard that people were selling drugs out of a vacant apartment,” the chief said. “We went to that apartment, but it was empty. No one was there.”
