NEW CASTLE —
Zambelli Internationale test-fired new products Wednesday night.
Sandy McStay, a corporate official, said twice each year the company test-fires samples submitted by vendors who want to do business with the fireworks giant.
She said 25 to 30 designers and team members who shoot the fireworks throughout the year gathered Wednesday at the company’s Union Township plant to shoot and analyze potential new products.
“We started about 7 p.m. and didn’t conclude until after 9 p.m.,” McStay said. “We shot everything one by one and reviewed each firing. There were a lot of fireworks, but it wasn’t a display.”
She said the next test firing will be in the fall.
