Gas line rupture causes evacuations, street closings

NEW CASTLE — New Castle firefighters were responding Friday morning to a report of a gas line rupture at the intersection of Fairmont and Delaware avenues.

No injuries were reported, but houses in the vicinity were being evacuated and crews were closing streets in the area.

New Castle police and public works personnel were on the scene and the gas company was contacted to deal with the rupture.

No. Carrying guns into bars and schools is NEVER a good idea. I think it will lead to more violence.
