Man sought after gun incident

NEW CASTLE — A Westview Terrace man is wanted for allegedly threatening three people with a gun.

New Castle police were called to the 1100 block of Parkwood Court around 9:10 p.m. Saturday, where Lierre Armstrong, 24, of Apt. C, 1109 Beech St., was allegedly pointing a gun at a group of people.

One woman said she had been sitting with two other women on the porch of an apartment when Armstrong approached, yelling. One of the women said Armstrong put a round in the chamber of the gun and pointed it at the three women. She said he then threatened to shoot everybody.

Another woman said she heard Armstrong cock his gun and she got up and ran inside an apartment. She said Armstrong has threatened numerous times in the past to shoot her and that she is in fear for her life.

Police searched the area for Armstrong but could not find him.

He is charged with three counts each of terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person and harassment, and one count of disorderly conduct.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
